Below the terrace, valleys and plantation rows fall away toward the coast, and on clear mornings, once the mist lifts, the ocean traces the horizon in the distance. It’s a forty-five-minute drive down to the seaside town of Lovina, and a world away from the rest of the island.
Munduk is Bali’s mountain village — rice terraces, clove and coffee plantations, and some of the island’s most striking waterfalls, including Munduk Waterfall and the Banyumala Twin Waterfalls, tucked along quiet jungle trails toward Lake Tamblingan.
